Böhse Onkelz
The Böhsen Onkelz are a German rock band that was founded in 1980. They started out as a punk band, but developed into one of the most controversial rock groups in Germany. With lyrics that often address social issues, they have built up a loyal fan base and distanced themselves from extremism. The band broke up in 2005, but returned in 2014 with a comeback. Their musical style ranges from Oi / punk rock to melodic hard rock. With over 10 million records sold and more than 470,000 video albums, the Onkels are among the artists with the highest music sales in the country. The eleventh studio album E.I.N.S. alone sold over 520,000 units. With eleven number one albums, the Böhsen Onkelz are the most successful hard rock band in the German album charts.
